HR Consultant

The gig

We’re looking for an experienced and energetic HR consultant to work with our leadership team and help strengthen the foundations of our people and culture. Someone who can work 1-2 days per week or equivalent hours over multiple days.

This part-time role will start with an important piece of work, designing and facilitating a leadership alignment with our management team. From there, you will spend time getting to know how we operate, understanding how our teams work together, fostering a great culture and building relationships across the business.

As the engagement develops, the role will focus on supporting the business with core HR fundamentals, from providing advice on employment contracts to helping leaders navigate people matters and occasional workplace challenges.

What you’ll be doing

You will help us foster a positive workplace culture headed by a passionate and people-orientated leadership group. You’re the HR expert, so we will look to you for guidance on how to grow and sustain a happy workforce with our people loving their work, enjoying a positive Green Hat vibe as well as realising their own aspirations.

We expect the activities will include:

  • Grow an engaged and collaborative leadership team through workshops and team-building techniques
  • Ladder that team building into the broader group
  • Get to know our people, our business and our culture
  • Provide practical HR guidance, including employment contractual management and Fair Work compliance
  • Support leaders with people issues and workplace matters as needed

About you

You’ll be:

  • An experienced HR consultant with 10+ years experience
  • A confident facilitator with past success in working with leadership teams
  • Practical, approachable and commercially minded
  • Someone who enjoys understanding culture and helping teams work better together
  • Comfortable working in a flexible, part-time role
  • Based in Melbourne (our office is in Cremorne)
